It was a joy to be back at Brighton Marathon Weekend. It’s hard to believe this is our 6th year and the event just keeps getting better! Joining forces with retailer Alton Sports, we loved the atmosphere in the Event Village - the energy is fantastic in the lead up to the Marathon.
What a pleasure to meet so many Brighton Marathon runner’s and hear their stories, from smashing personal bests to phenomenal fundraising efforts of charity runners. One lady inspired us all, completing every Brighton Marathon since it launched, she had come to register early for Brighton Marathon 2019, ensuring her name be 1st on the list – now that is dedication!
The first couple of days at Brighton were quite chilly, so our events team kept warm in their Soft Shell Jackets which was one of our best sellers amongst other Crewroom Jackets famous for their sleek aesthetics and stunning hi-tech fabrics.
Crewroom is hot on sustainability and it was great to work with partners who share our values. This year’s event saw a reduction in the use of plastic bottles and a greater use of recycling facilities.
On Sunday thousands of spectators lined the streets in support, the weather was warmer & thankfully the rain held off until the end of the marathon. As always, it is fantastic to see so many runners decked out from head to toe in their Crewroom kit. This year our runners were especially fond of The Drizzle T & Tops known for being light & airy but designed for the British climate so if drizzles, water repellent fabric protects your core. The Endurance Short for women & the men’s Speed Short prove that being functional doesn’t have to look dull, decked out with features such as internals linings & secure zip pockets.
Thank you Brighton for hosting us, we already miss your unforgettable coastline. We are looking forward to coming back for Brighton Marathon 2019.
