Running the Royal Parks

In 2008 The Royal Parks created a spectacular Half Marathon in central London – the first and only one of its kind – embracing the ethos of sustainability.

In 2008 The Royal Parks created a spectacular Half Marathon in central London – the first and only one of its kind – embracing the ethos of sustainability.

The stunning 13.1-mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. Since the very first race, we’ve supplied The Royal Parks with the official race shirts made from recycled polyester and carbonised bamboo.

This year marks the 13th year of working alongside The Royal Parks and we are proud to be able to contribute to their vision of making race day as green and sustainable as possible.

The Royal Parks

The Royal Parks is an incredible charity that supports the magic of London’s eight amazing Royal Parks now, giving visitors free access to enjoy the beautiful open spaces which are home to rare species, historical monuments and listed landscapes as well as precious green space in the heart of London.

The RP Half Marathon is one of the major events which helps raise funds to keep the Royal Parks’ 5,000 acres safe and clean, in beautiful condition and bursting with life all year round. So, if you’d like to support The Royal Parks and take part in the 2010 Half Marathon, visit: royalparkshalf.com
